que conquistó por tercera vez el
título al superar con contundencia a los All Blacks 7's por 29-12. Los Pumas 7's finalizaron otra vez, como en San Francisco 2018, en
el 5° puesto tras
vencer a Francia en el
duelo decisivo por 10-7.
Tremenda performance en todo el mundial, de los Pumas 7s liderados por el trío cordobés integrado por el capitán Gastón Revol, el ball-carrier Germán Schulz y el tryman Luciano González Rizzoni; y que fueron entrenados por el porteño Santiago Gómez Cora y el tucumano Leonardo Gravano.
La bandera argentina fue el tryman cordobés Luciano González Rizzoni que marcó el try decisivo a Francia, como ya lo había realizado en semifinales por el 5º puesto, con espectacular doblete a Sudáfrica, consolidando una performance superlativa, para ganar por 26-19 a los anfitriones Blitzboks.
En el circuito el equipo argentino llegaba con ventaja ante los franceses, equipo contra el que no pierde desde 2019. El último duelo fue empate en 12 tantos en el Seven de Vancouver, la etapa dónde Argentina 7s fue e; campeón. De los últimos seis choques, cuatro fueron para Argentina y dos terminaron igualados.
El final fue al último aliento, sin el porteño Agustín Fraga sancionado por amarilla, y había que defender, con Francia buscando el try ganador, pero el porteño Matías Osadczuk con tackle salvador, evitó el try que el francés Pascal Barraqué cometiera knock-on y no pudiera apoyar.
