Mañana viernes a las 20.00 hrs, quedará abierta la segunda rueda en el III Super Rugby Americas 2025, con el clásico Pampas-Dogos XV por la 8va. ronda en el Atlético San Isidro, en conurbano bonaerense.

Los Pampas llegan al desafío como líderes tras arrollar a Cobras XV por 74-12 en su visita a San Pablo, alcanzando 1º lugar con 24 puntos, 2º Peñarol con 23, 3º Selknam con 18 y 4º Dogos XV con 16.

Por lo que la primera rueda concluyó con el plantel porteño entrenado por el santiagueño Juan Manuel Leguizamón y el rosarino Nicolás Vergallo, invicto con 5 victorias y 1 empate con los Dogos XV en Córdoba.

Dogos XV entrenados por el porteño Nicolás Galatro, el riocuartence Diego Ghiglione y los cordobeses capitalinos Stefano Ambrosio y Galo Álvarez Quiñones, vienen de ganar a Yacaré XV por 24-19 en Luque.

Con esa victoria, los Dogos XV Campeones salientes, se redimieron luego de tres derrotas, y ya están en 4º lugar con 16 unidades, en zona de clasificación a los playoffs. En 2024 habían encajado solo 2 derrotas.

En la primera rueda del SRA 2025 ambas franquicias argentinas se enfrentaron en la 2da. Ronda con empate de 20-20 en el feudo del Córdoba Athletic Club, por lo que crece la expectativa en etapa de revanchas.

En nueve desafíos que se llevan disputados, los Dogos XV ganaron en siete oportunidades, sobretodo en la semifinal del año 2023, y la final del certamen 2024, y que representó su primer título continental.

Dogos XV capitaneados por flanker Valentín Cabral, van a la revancha con pack potente encabezado por pilar Boris Wenger, segunda línea Lautaro Simes Bulgarelli, y por medio scrum Agustín Moyano.

Hay bajas, ya que Pampas no cuenta con el wing Alfonso Latorre, suspendido por tres partidos tras la tarjeta roja por tackle alto, ante Selknam y los Dogos XV sin el wing Franco Rosetto por roja ante Yacaré.

El encuentro estará dirigido por el árbitro uruguayo Francisco González, con jueces de línea, Juan Manuel Martínez (Mendoza) y Nicolás Cotic (Buenos Aires), y Of.TV: Lucas Galan (Buenos Aires).

Tomorrow, Friday at 8:00 p.m., the second round of the III Super Rugby Americas 2025 will begin with the Pampas-Dogos XV Clash in the 8th round at Atlético San Isidro, in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.

Pampas arrive at the match as leaders after crushing Cobras XV 74-12 in their visit to São Paulo, placing them first with 24 points, Peñarol second with 23, Selknam third with 18, and Dogos XV fourth with 16.

The first round concluded with the Buenos Aires squad, coached by Santiago del Estero’s  Juan Manuel Leguizamón and Rosario’s  Nicolás Vergallo, undefeated with five wins and one draw against the Dogos XV at Córdoba City.

Dogos XV, coached by Buenos Aires’s Nicolás Galatro, Rio Cuarto’s Diego Ghiglione, and Córdoba City’s  Stefano Ambrosio and Galo Álvarez Quiñones, are coming off a 24-19 victory over Yacaré XV at Luque.

With that victory, Dogos XV, the reigning champions, redeemed themselves after three losses and are now in 4th place with 16 points, in the playoff qualifying zone. They had only suffered two defeats in 2024.

In the first round of the 2025 SRA, both Argentinian franchises faced each other in the second round to a 20-20 draw at the Córdoba Athletic Club grounds, so expectations are growing for the rematch stage.

In nine matches so far, the Dogos XV have won seven times, most notably in the 2023 semifinal, and the 2024 final, which represented their first continental title.

L'équipe de Buenos Aires, entraînée par Juan Manuel Leguizamón (Santiago del Estero) et Nicolás Vergallo (Rosario), est restée invaincue avec cinq victoires et un nul contre Dogos XV à la ville de Córdoba.
