Hay desafío ante los All Blacks, con todo el fuego que son capaces de expresar los Pumas de la nueva generación, en debut del 13º Rugby Championship 2024 , en ese teatro de los sueños que es el Wellington Regional Stadium de Wellington, capital de Nueva Zelanda, a las 04:05 (hora argentina) en sábado 10 de agosto de 2024.
Se trata de una columna vertebral para Los Pumas, que comienza con el full back y subcapitán, el cordobés Juan Cruz Mallía, y que sigue con el apertura cordobés Santiago Carreras, para continuar con el octavo mendocino Juan Martín González, y concluir con el pilar derecho villamariense Eduardo Bello.
Tenemos reencuentro en el sur neozelandés para el debutante entrenador de los All Blacks Scott Robertson, ante ex pupilo en los míticos Crusaders de Christchurch, el flanker porteño Pablo Matera, que se presenta como capitán en la flamante escuadra del también entrenador debutante, el porteño Felipe Contepomi.
Precisamente Felipe Contepomi, formó unos Pumas con siete cambios respecto al equipo que viene de arrollar en julio pasado a los Teros por 79-5 en Maldonado, poniendo toda la carne al asador en un scrum con el pilar izquierdo tucumano Thomas Gallo, el hooker porteño Ignacio Ruiz y el líder cordobés Eduardo Bello.
La nueva generación se presenta en la segunda línea integrada por el santafecino Pedro Rubiolo y el cordobés Franco Molina, que viene de destacar como capitán de los Dogos XV, campeones de América.
En el fondo del scrum argentino, se pone de manifiesto la performance del flanker y subcapitán, el entrerriano Marcos Kremer junto a Juan Martín González y al capitán Pablo Matera.
Está la reaparición en los tres cuartos del full back Juan Cruz Mallía, el doble campeón europeo y del Top 14 francés, para potenciar la línea de backs lanzada por la clase del apertura cordobés Santiago Carreras y el oficio del medio scrum mendocino Gonzalo Bertranou, para el wing y tryman tucumano Mateo Carreras.
Mientras que en el centro del campo, aparece la potencia del centro santafecino Santiago Chocobares, de destacada actuación en el Top 14 francés junto a Juan Cruz Mallía, para completar una línea defensiva con el centro porteño Lucio Cinti y el veterano wing porteño Matías Moroni.
