 Con el comienzo de la serie de partidos en la temporada otoño-invierno 2021 en el hemisferio norte, los All Blacks en una gira por Estados Unidos y Europa, ya marcó su  espíritu del rugby solidario, como ya ocurrió en 2020 cuando ellos rindieron honores a la muerte del futbolista argentino Diego Armando Maradona, desplegando una camiseta negra con el número 10 antes del Haka de su desafío ante los Pumas en Rugby Championship 2020 en el McDonald Jones de Newcastle, Australia y por parte del entonces capitán, el flanker Sam Cane, pero que, lamentablemente,  no fue correspondida esa gentileza, por parte del entonces capitán de los Pumas, el flanker porteño Pablo Matera, quién no recogió la ofrenda ni dio la mano a su adversario. Siendo recogido ese emblema y con embarazo, por el ayudante de campo del seleccionado argentino Nicolás Fernández Miranda.

 
Y ahora, se registró otro acto muy emotivo en Washington cuando los Eagles de Estados Unidos enfrentaron a los All Blacks el pasado 23 de octubre,  en test-match de la ventana del otoño-invierno del hemisferio sur, desplegaron dos camisetas por el fallecimiento del wing All Black Maori Sean Wainui,  y del flanker All Black Jerry Collins, fallecido en 2015 (fue la última vez que Estados Unidos había enfrentado a Nueva Zelanda en 2014). Tanto el capitán y segunda línea Sam Whitelock y el hooker Dane Coles recibieron y recogieron las ofrendas en gestos de alta jerarquía de cultura deportiva, estrechando las manos de sus adversarios. Fueron gestos inolvidables de caballeros del deporte.
