LA ESTRELLA DE LOS WAIKATO CHIEFS AARON CRUDEN ENCABEZA LOS PROTAGONISTAS DEL SUPER RUGBY 2013 - THE STRA OF WAIKATO CHIEFS AARON CRUDEN LEADS THE 2013 SUPER RUGBY STARS.

La temporada 2013 del Super Rugby, la máxima competición del hemisferio sur a nivel de seleccionados provinciales  comienza hoy con dos partidos que son clásicos en Australia, mientras que en Nueva Zelanda y Sudáfrica el certámen  cuyo campeón saliente son los Waikato Chiefs de Hamilton (Nueva Zelanda)  comenzará la próxima semana.

Hoy es el puntapié inicial para los Rebeldes de Melbourne y Fuerza Occidental de Perth; mientras que el restante desafío estará a cargo de los Brumbies de Canberra y los Rojos de Brisbane, mañana sábado. Este programa adelantado tiene lugar para anticipar partidos en función de la gira de los Lions Británicos e Irlandeses por Australia en junio.

Precisamente en junio y julio, tendrán lugar partidos  solamente en Sudáfrica y Nueva Zelanda y una ronda con sólo equipos australianos. En tal sentido Los Rojos de Brisbane fue el único equipo australiano en llegar a los playoffs del año pasado, mientras que los Brumbies se quedaron sextos.

Los Rebeldes de Melbourne y Fuerza Occidental de Perth terminaron 13 º y 14 º respectivamente, por detrás de los Waratahs de Sydney que 11°. Por eso el choque entre los Brumbies y los Rojos lanzarían al equipo australiano con mayores pretensiones de llegar a las instancias finales del Super Rugby.

Por el lado de los neocelandeses, el campeón saliente, los Chiefs de Waikato deben lamentar la baja más importante, el éxodo del gigante  centro tres cuartos Sonny Bill Williams, pasado al rugby league australiano tras una breve etapa en la liga japonesa de rugby unión.

La fuerza de los Chiefs son sus delanteros cuya excepcional maniobra es conducida por sus dos capitanes Liam Messam-Craig Clarke y la clase de su estrella Aaron Cruden. La clave de su performance es la improntada dejada por su ex entrenador y mentor, el ex All Blacks Wayne Smith, quien produjo una línea defensiva con talento en ataque y una defensa sólida.

The Super Rugby 2013 begins today with Australian classic

The 2013 season of Super Rugby, the southern hemisphere's showpiece selected provincial level begins today with two games that are the clash match in Australia, while in New Zealand and South Africa which are outgoing champion Waikato Chiefs in Hamilton (New Zealand ), the fixture  starting next week.
