Los Sprinboks entrenados por Heyneke Meyer y los Pumas dirigidos por Santiago Phelan, sueñan con dar el gran golpe el sábado en sus visitas a los All Blacks en Auckland y a los Wallabies en Perth, por la cuarta jornada del Rugby Championship 2013.

Es decir que tanto el templo del “Eden Park” de Auckland, como el “Patersons Stadium” en Perth, serán los teatros de los sueños que podrían ser ya definitorios tras ésta cuarta jornada.

Sudáfrica viene de ganar a Australia 38-12 en el “Suncorp Stadium” de Brisbane el sábado , apoyando cuatro tries para arrebatar el segundo punto bonus  y tomar el liderato al sumar 14 unidades en la tabla sobre los All Blacks que también están invictos pero con 13 puntos.

Los campeones del mundo entrenados por Steve Hansen vienen de ganar a Argentina por solamente 28-13 en el “Waikato Stadium” de Hamilton, y sin su  capitán el flanker Richie McCaw (sufrió lesión de rodilla y será baja por cinco semanas), deben asumir el choque con los Springboks.

Por eso el ganador del sábado debe tomar la iniciativa para conquistar el título de campeón del hemisferio sur, porque luego los All Blacks deben viajar a La Plata para enfrentar los Pumas y después a los Springboks en Johannesburgo en final sin concesiones.

Mientras que Los Pumas viajaron al lejano oeste australiano para medirse en Perth con unos Wallabies entrenados por Ewen McKenzie, fueron golpeados duros en Brisbane por los Springboks capitaneados por el centro Jean De Villiers. La cuestión es saber cual será la performance argentina en la posesión del balón.

La cuarta fecha será determinante para sudafricanos y argentinos, los visitantes de turno de neocelandeses que sienten como nunca antes la necesidad de demostrar que son los mejores y de unos australianos que buscan la brújula para salir desde el traumático fondo de la tabla.

Para Los Pumas, Perth es la puerta de su primer histórico triunfo en el 4 Naciones, el quinto en su historial contra los Wallabies. Además sería un impulso notable en el regreso a casa para recibir a los All Blacks en La Plata y a los Wallabies en Rosario, una semana después.

Para los Springboks ganar en Auckland sería la primer derrota de los All Blacks en Nueva Zelanda desde 2009. Y regresar a casa para definir exultantes,  ante los Wallabies en Ciudad del Cabo y frente a los All Blacks en Johannesburgo.

Nueva Zelanda es lejos, el mejor equipo del mundo y a distancia se acerca Sudáfrica; mientras que Argentina y Australia son promesas de recuperación en ésta tercera fecha del Rugby Championship, que tendrá lugar mañana a partir de las 04:35 hora argentina en Hamilton con All Blacks-Pumas y a las 07:05 hora argentina en Brisbane con Wallabies-Springboks.

 Los Pumas han mejorado su performance respecto a la debacle del debut en Soweto donde los Springboks arrasaron por 73-13,  ya que en Mendoza estuvieron cerca de la hazaña con ventaja de 17-16 a los 71’, para caer por dos penales con el marcador de 22-17. Hoy los All Blacks ponen debutantes, pero también reaparece el goleador Dan Carter, con 1.399  puntos en su haber.

Los All Blacks con la mente en los Springboks –el verdadero enemigo- ponen una escuadra con nuevas variantes como en los tres cuartos donde a figuras como Israel Dagg; Ben Smith y , Conrad Smith, está el centro debutante Francis Saili, al lado del wing Julian Savea, para recalar en los medios Dan Carter- Aaron Smith.

La tercera línea es de alto rendimiento con Kieran Read, Richie McCaw (capitán) y Steven Luatua;  luego Sam Whitelock y Brodie Retallick aseguran la segunda línea y el pilar derecho debutante Charlie Faumuina, se mostrará  junto a  Andrew Hore y Tony Woodcock, para enfrentar Ayerza, Guiñazú y Figallo, respectivamente.

Por el lado de los Wallabies mejoraron sus actuaciones ante los All Blacks tras perder por 47-29 en Sydney, ya que se superaron una semana después en Wellington  llegando incluso a estar en ventaja de 6-0 a la media hora, para caer por decoroso 27-16. Fue un alivio para el entrenador debutante Ewen McKenzie y una presión más para el medio scrum Will Genia, su faro.

El full back Zane Kirchner regresa a los Springboks tras larga ausencia por lesión en la mano derecha. Su inclusión da seguridad en el fondo al entrenador Heyneke Meyer quien  desplazó a  Willie Le Roux como wing derecho y a Bryan Habana wing izquierdo. Es el gran cambio tras sufrir Sudáfrica en Mendoza la embestida física de Argentina que tuvo más inventiva en ataque.

LA TABLADA EN LA BUSQUEDA DE SU CUARTO TÍTULO - THE TABLADA SIDE IN SEARCH OF ITS FOURTH TITLE

 

El sábado con La Tablada y Tala recibiendo a Tucumán Rugby y Los Tarcos, y el Jockey Club Córdoba visitando a uno de los  campeones  del NOA, Huirapuca,  comienza el  12° Torneo del Interior donde compiten los 16 equipos  de los máximos certámenes Regionales, pero donde no habrá televisión nacional.

La UAR (Unión Argentina de Rugby),  organiza el certamen y rectificó el fixture donde los equipos tucumanos Huirapuca y Cardenales cambiaron zonas por lo que el Jockey Club Córdoba, visitará Huirapuca por la Zona 3 y Cardenales recibirá en Zona 4 a Universitario de Tucumán.

Pero el campeonato más importante de Argentina fuera del egido de Buenos Aires, no tendrá visibilidad televisiva por no haber estado en la programación de la UAR, que si autoriza a la URBA (Unión de Buenos Aires), la transmisión en vivo para televisión nacional del Torneo Top 14.

Precisamente 9 de los 16 equipos del Torneo del Interior, disputarán en 2014 el Campeonato Nacional de Clubes con 7 representantes del Top 14 bonaerense. Se jugará a partir de marzo de 2014 y estará programado en cuatro zonas de 4 equipos. Los partidos serían los viernes, sábado o domingo.

 Para José María Luna, entrenador del Jockey Club Córdoba, “los tres equipos de Córdoba, están para ganarle  a cualquiera y nosotros tenemos el antecedente de que el año pasado le ganamos al Tucumán Lawn Tennis que fue el campeón del NOA en 2012, y es mayor la motivación de enfrentar como visitante al campeón”.

 
En 1998  cuando comenzó el Torneo del Interior con 43 clubes divididos en dos categorías, el primer campeón fue el Jockey Club Córdoba, que se impuso  en la final a Maristas de Mendoza 25-13 y que repitió en 1999 superando Duendes de Rosario 26-13. La Tablada lo ganó por última vez en 2011 ante Duendes 37-27.

 También Pepe Luna caracterizó al grupo 3 con Huirapuca, Jockey Club Córdoba, Jockey Club de Rosario y Santiago Lawn Tennis, como “una zona muy dura, pero creemos de que nos puede ir muy bien porque contamos con un plantel de jugadores con jerarquía”.

Mientras que Carlos Ayala entrenador de La Tablada tricampeón de Córdoba, matizó: “Es un gran torneo y hay que estar a la altura del mismo porque uno se encuentra con campeones o subcampeones y  por lo tanto están acostumbrados a pelear por los campeonatos regionales”.

“Aquí vale mucho la experiencia y la capacidad de adaptación a medida que transcurre la competencia, no solo con Tucumán Rugby, que tiene un rugby muy dinámico, sino con el resto de los rivales”, apuntó “Carlín” Ayala.

El Torneo del Interior se jugó de manera consecutiva hasta 2005, pero por fallas organizativas de la UAR se interrumpió por cuatro temporadas, reanudándose en 2009. La Tablada y Duendes lo ganaron tres veces, Jockey Club Córdoba y Jockey Club de Rosario dos  y Tala una. Por lo que hay predominancia cordobesa de 6 a 4 .

En la edición 2013, el grupo 2 es el más equilibrado en sus pretensiones con Duendes de Rosario, campeón saliente y campeón del Litoral, que enfrentará al sub campeón cordobés Tala,  al sub campeón cuyano Liceo y al tercero del NOA: Los Tarcos. La fase regular proseguirá el 14 y 21 de septiembre.

Los cuartos de final están programados para el 28, las semifinales el 5 de octubre y la final el 12. Clasifican los dos primeros de cada grupo y los que no clasifiquen se eliminarán para determinar al noveno equipo que participará del Nacional.

 Santiago Lawn Tennis debuta en el campeonato por el título  por primera vez y como 5to. representante del NOA. Entre los candidatos destacan por categoría e  historia dos ex campeones: La Tablada y Duendes (campeón saliente), como así también Huirapuca y Cardenales, los dominadores del NOA.

Pero cordobeses y  rosarinos se reparten los títulos y disputaron la final de 2011, mientras que los tucumanos que nunca lo ganaron, se proponen protagonistas en todos los grupos,  comenzando por el 1 con Tucumán Rugby, y siguiendo con Los Tarcos,  Huirapuca, Cardenales  y Universitario, en ese orden.

Los rosarinos además de Duendes, cuentan con Universitario (grupo 1), Jockey Club (grupo 3), y Gimnasia y Esgrima (grupo 4); mientras que los  mendocinos también quieren destacar, aportando sus pretensiones con Liceo en grupo 2 y Los Tordos en grupo 4.

En zona Ascenso, estarán los equipos cordobeses Urú Curé de Río Cuarto y Córdoba Athletic, entre los  cuatro grupos de cuatro equipos cada uno y que clasificará los mejores dos de cada zona para la definición del campeonato.

Zona 2: Urú Curé de Río Cuarto, Sporting de Mar del Plata, Córdoba Athletic  y Natación y Gimnasia de Tucumán.
Zona 3: Santa Fé RC, San Ignacio, CRAI y Sociedad Sportiva.
Zona 4: Neuquén RC, Marista de Mendoza, Mendoza RC y Marabunta.

THE 12th INTERIOR TOURNAMENT WITH A  CORDOBÉS FLAVOR

On Saturday with La Tablada receiving Tucuman Rugby and Tala Rugby with  Los Tarcos, and the Jockey Club Córdoba visiting one of the NOA champions, Huirapuca, begins the 12^th Interior Tournament where 16 teams compete highs Regional tournements, but where there is no on live national network television.

The UAR (Argentina Rugby Union) organizes the event and rectified the fixture where teams from Tucuman like Huirapuca and Cardinals changed areas so the Jockey Club Córdoba, visit Huirapuca for Zone 3 and for Zone 4 Cardenales will receive Universitario de Tucuman.

But the most important championship of Argentina outside of Buenos Aires area, you will not have visibility television for not having been in the programming of the UAR , which if allowed to URBA (the Buenos Aires Union), the network on national television the Top 14 tournament.

Just 9 of the 16 teams in the tournament of the Interior, played in 2014 the National Club Championship with 7 representatives of the Buenos Aires  Top 14. It will be played from March and will be programmed into four zones of 4 teams . The matches would be on Friday, Saturday or Sunday .

For José María Luna, the Jockey Club Córdoba coach , "the three teams of Cordoba , are to beat anyone and we have a history of that last year we beat the Tucumán Lawn Tennis was NOA champion in 2012 , and is greater motivation to face the champion away . "

In 1998 he began the tournament with 43 clubs divided into two categories, the first champion was the Jockey Club Córdoba , who won the final 25-13 to Maristas of Mendoza and repeated in 1999 beating Duendes of Rosario 26-13 . La Tablada it last won Duendes in 2011 by 37-27  .

Also “Pepe” Luna characterized the group 3 with Huirapuca , Jockey Club Córdoba, Jockey Club of Rosario and Santiago Lawn Tennis, as " a very hard, but we think we can do very well because we have a squad of players with hierarchy " .

 

JOCKEY CLUB CÓRDOBA LE GANÓ AL TUCUMÁN LAWN TENNIS EN LA CALDERA EN 2012

While Carlos Ayala the coach of La Tablada three-time champion of Cordoba , he added : "It's a great tournament and you have to keep up the same because you meet champions or runners-up and therefore are used to fight for the regional championships".

"Here it enjoyed the experience and adaptability as competition goes , not only Tucumán Rugby , which has a very dynamic rugby , but with the rest of the rivals”, he said " Carlin" Ayala .

The Interior Tournament was played in a row until 2005 , but by organizational failures of the UAR was interrupted for four seasons and resumed in 2009 . La Tablada and Duendes won it three times , Jockey Club Córdoba and  Jockey Club de Rosario  two times and Tala one. So there is predominance of Cordoba by 6-4 .

In the 2013 edition , the 2 is the most balanced in their pretensions with Duendes of Rosario, outgoing champion and champion of the Litoral Region, will face the runner-up - Tala of Córdoba , the Cuyo runner-up Liceo and third of NOA : The Tarcos . The regular season will continue on 14 and 21 September .

The quarterfinals are scheduled for 28 , the semifinals on October 5 and the final 12. Ranking the top two from each group and those that do not qualify will be removed to determine the ninth time for  the National Clubs Tournement .

Santiago Lawn Tennis debuts at championship title. For the first time played like 5to. of NOA representative . Among the candidates stand by category and history two former champions : La Tablada and Duendes ( outgoing champion ),  as well as Huirapuca and Cardenales , the rulers of the NOA .

But Cordoba and Rosario are distributed titles and played in the final of 2011 , while he never won for Tucuman side, are proposed now protagonists in all groups , starting at 1 zone with Tucumán Rugby, and continuing with The Tarcos , Huirapuca , Cardenales and Universitario ,  in that order.

The addition the clubs of Rosario like Duendes, have Universitario ( group 1) , Jockey Club (group 3 ) , and Gimnasia y Esgrima (group 4 ) , while the Mendoza also want to highlight , bringing their claims with Liceo in group 2 and Tordos in group 4 .
