Crece la adrenalina en la víspera del quinto turno para Los Pumas 7s liderados por la leyenda Gastón Revol, el ball carrier Germán Schults y el tryman Luciano González Rizzoni, tras escalar al tercer lugar de la tabla con 59 puntos por detrás de Nueva Zelanda que suma 63, y Estados Unidos que cuenta con 61 unidades.
Para los Pumas 7s entrenados por el porteño Santiago Gómez Cora y el tucumano Leonardo Gravano, si ganan el oro del seven australiano sumarían 22 puntos, si ganan la plata tendrían 19 y si conquistan el Bronce contarían con 17.
Tras el seven australiano, restan por disputarse seis etapas, comenzando con el seven de Los Ángeles el 25 de febrero, el siguiente el de Vancouver una semana más tarde y entre fines de marzo y principios de abril, e; Seven de Hong Kong y Singapur, para finalizar en mayo con los torneos de Toulouse y Londres.
