Los Pumas 7s con el empuje del tryman Luciano González Rizzoni, del ball carrier Germán Schultz y el liderato de Gastón Revol, disputarán hoy los cuartos de final de oro ante Fidji a partir de las 19:20 en el Seven de Hamilton en Nueva Zelanda, por la cuarta ronda de la Serie Mundial de Seven 2022/2023.

La escuadra entrenada por el porteño Santiago Gómez Cora y el tucumano Leonardo Gravano, comenzó ganando a España 20-5 y a Canadá 29-14, para caer frente a Sudáfrica por 17-14, en cerrado partido cuando el cordobés Luciano González Rizzoni, logró el 14-12 transitorio.

Los cuartos de final de la Copa de Oro se completan con Sudáfrica ante Francia, Estados Unidos contra Australia y Nueva Zelanda ante Irlanda. Argentina 7's está en 8° lugar en la clasificación de la Serie Mundial de Seven con 37 puntos, por detrás de Samoa y Sudáfrica que encabezan la tabla con 47 unidades.

The Pumas 7s with the push of tryman Luciano González Rizzoni, ball carrier Germán Schultz and the leadership of Gastón Revol, will play today the gold quarterfinals against Fiji starting at 7:20 p.m. at Hamilton Sevens in New Zealand, for the fourth round of the 2022/2023 World Sevens  Series.

The squad trained by Santiago Gómez Cora from Buenos Aires and Leonardo Gravano from Tucumán, began by beating Spain 20-5 and Canada 29-14, to lose against South Africa 17-14, in a close match when Luciano González Rizzoni from Cordoba won the 14-12 transitory.

The Gold Cup quarterfinals are completed with South Africa against France,  United States against Australia and New Zealand against Ireland. Argentina 7's is in 8th place in the Sevens World Series standings with 37 points, behind Samoa and South Africa that lead the table with 47 points.

Como en el V Mundial de Australia 2003, donde los Wallabies fueron los subcampeones por detrás de Inglaterra con el australiano-japonés Eddie Jones como entrenador, ahora el hijo pródigo regresa para entrenar Australia hasta el XI Mundial en Australia 2027, y a meses de disputar el X Mundial en Francia 2023.

Los acontecimientos se precipitaron para que el omnipresente entrenador mundialista Eddie Jones,  luego de que Australia despidió al neozelandés Dave Rennie, sea quien conducirá técnicamente a los Wallabies, a solo meses de que comience la X Copa Mundial en Francia.

As in the V World Cup in Australia 2003, where the Wallabies were runners-up behind England with the Australian-Japanese Eddie Jones as coach, now the prodigal son returns to coach Australia until the XI World Cup in Australia 2027, and months after playing the X World Cup in France 2023.

Events precipitated so that the omnipresent World Cup coach Eddie Jones, after Australia fired New Zealander Dave Rennie, is the one who will technically lead the Wallabies, just months before the start of the X World Cup in France.

For what will be before that top  world event, an Australian clash in the 11th Rugby Championship 2023, between Argentina trained by the Australian of Lebanese origin Michael Cheika and Australia trained by the Japanese Australian Eddie Jones, on July 15 at the Commbank  Stadium in Sydney.

Today's event, Monday, January 16, was precipitated after Eddie Jones was sacked by England at the end of last year, and being appointed by Rugby Australia ended the term of New Zealander Dave Rennie with immediate effect after a series of disappointing results and with Australia 8th in the world ranking.

So Eddie Jones returns to Australia to retake the reins of the Wallabies as he did in 2002, on the eve of the V World Cup in Australia 2003, when he led the Wallabies to be world runners-up behind England, who won his only world cup.

Jones was sacked in December, despite having the most wins of any England manager; now receiving a five-year contract with Australia, which will see him oversee the next two World Cup campaigns, including of course the XI World Cup in Australia 2027.

L'équipe formée par l'Australien Michael Cheika, où se distinguent l'ouvreur de Córdoba, Santiago Carreras, le demi de mêlée de Mendoza, Gonzalo Bertranou, l'arrière de Córdoba, Juan Cruz Mallía et l'ailier de Rosario, Emiliano Boffelli, fera ses débuts le 8 juillet. contre les All Blacks à la Ville de Mendoza.

Les Pumas du 11e Rugby Championship réduit, recevront les All Blacks le 8 juillet au Stade Malvinas Argentinas  de Mendoza, puis le 15 juillet ils rendront visite aux Wallabies au Stade Commbank de Sydney, et le 29 juillet les Springboks en Afrique du Sud.

Les deux matches amicaux: le 5 août contre les Springboks au stade Vélez Sársfield de la Ville de Buenos Aires, et le 29 août contre l'Espagne au stade Cívitas Metropolitano de la ville de Madrid, pour enfin se rendre dans la concentration française de La Baule-Escoublac, ville côtière proche de la Ville de Nantes, au nord-ouest de l'hexagone.

Lors de la Coupe du monde 2023 en France, les débuts de l'Argentine en phase de poules de qualification, auront lieu le 9 septembre contre l'Angleterre au stade Vélodrome de Marseille, puis le 22 septembre contre les Samoa au stade Geoffroy Guichard de Saint Étienne.

La classique sud-américaine avec Cóndores du Chili se jouera le 30 septembre au stade La Beaujoire de Nantes, clôturant le huitième de finale contre les Cherry Blossoms  du Japon, également à La Beaujoire de Nantes. S'ils se qualifient pour les quarts de finale, l'Argentine pourrait jouer encore 3 matchs.

En avant-première de la dixième Coupe du monde France 2023, les Pumas affronteront les Lions d'Espagne lors d'un deuxième match amical dans le cadre des célébrations du centenaire (créé en 1923), de la Fédération royale espagnole de rugby, le samedi 26 août, à le Stade Cívitas Metropolitano de la ville de Madrid.

Ce sera « The Match », baptisé par la RFER, ce cinquième défi de l'histoire entre Los Pumas et Los Leones, avant les débuts en Coupe du monde, en huitièmes de finale de la 10e Coupe du monde de rugby à XV, en France 2023, à partir du Le 9 septembre contre l'Angleterre, au stade Vélodrome de Marseille dans le sud de la France.
