‘’En Estadio Vélez Sarsfield no se puede jugar Pumas vs Springboks por 5ta. fecha del Rugby Championship’’, expresó comunicado de la Sanzaar desde Sydney, Australia. - ‘’In Estadio Vélez Sarsfield you cannot play Pumas vs Springboks for the 5th. date of the Rugby Championship'', expressed a statement from the Sanzaar from Sydney, Australia.

‘’Tras inspección del lunes 12 de septiembre, Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) determinó que el estado de la cancha del Estadio del Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield no reúne condiciones necesarias para disputar la 5ta. ronda del 10º Rugby Championship entre Pumas- Springboks del sábado 17 de septiembre’’, dijo.

La Sanzaar (Sudáfrica, Nueva Zelanda, Australia, Argentina), máximo organismo que rige el rugby de alta competición en el hemisferio sur, indicó: ‘’El Test match tendrá lugar el sábado 17 de septiembre a las 16:05 hora local en el Estadio Libertadores de América, del Club Atlético Independiente en Avellaneda’’.

Cabe agregar que Avellaneda es un suburbio del sur del conurbano de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, que reemplaza la sede oficial del Club Vélez Sársfield, cuyo estadio está ubicado en el extremo oeste de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires capital de la República Argentina.

Se manifiesta además, que ‘’La superficie de juego,  se retuvo injugable en el Estadio Vélez Sarsfield, ya que el terreno se consideraba en perfectas condiciones y días después del tratamiento del campo de juego, se notó un severo deteriorovy no se pudo resolver el problema’’.

‘’Es una gran decepción ya que había un compromiso por parte de la sede que tenía que asegurarse de que estuviera en las condiciones adecuadas para partido de esta categoría’’, se puntualizó.

Para recordar: el último triunfo de los Pumas ante los Springboks por 32-19, se remonta al 25 de agosto de 2018, en el estadio Malvinas Argentinas de la Ciudad de Mendoza,  en el extremo oeste argentino, cercano a la Cordillera de los Andes y fronterizo con Chile.

‘’After an inspection on Monday, September 12, the Argentinian Rugby Union (UAR) determined that the state of field of the Vélez Sarsfield Athletic Club Stadium, does not meet the necessary conditions to play 5th. Round of 10 Rugby Championship between Pumas-Springboks on Saturday September 17”, he said.

Sanzaar (South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina), the highest body that governs high competition rugby in southern hemisphere, indicated: ''The Test match will take place on Saturday, September 17 at 4:05 p.m. local time at Libertadores de América Stadium, of  Independent Athletic Club in Avellaneda''.

It should be added that Avellaneda is a southern suburb of Buenos Aires City conurbation, which replaces the official headquarters of Vélez Sársfield Club, whose stadium is located in the extreme west of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentine Republic.

It also states that ''The playing surface was kept unplayable at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, since the ground was considered in perfect condition and days after the treatment of the playing field, a severe deterioration was noted and the problem could not be resolved issue''.

“It is a great disappointment since there was a commitment from the venue that had to make sure that it was in the right conditions for a match in this category,” he pointed out.

To remember: the last victory of the Pumas against the Springboks by 32-19, dates back to August 25, 2018, at the Malvinas Argentinas stadium of Mendoza  City, in the extreme west of Argentina, near the Andes Mountains and border with Chile.
