Bajo la tormenta en el Kings Park de Durban con 46.000 .espectadores, los Springboks ganaron a los Pumas 38-21 (17-7), pero no les alcanzó para ser campeones del 10º Rugby Championship 2022, en la 6ta. y última ronda, ya que los All Blaks golearon a los Wallabies 40-14 y conquistaron el cetro en Auckland.

Es decir el árbitro australiano Damon Murphy se convirtió en máximo protagonista reboleando tarjetas amarillas, y sancionando dos tries penal para los Springboks, y donde ya a los 25’ los Pumas encajaron 12 penales en contra;  y en el segundo tiempo Sudáfrica había coleccionado 7 penales en contra.

Pero el más perjudicado fue el equipo entrenasdo por el australiano Michel Cheika, con dos flankers afuera como el entrerriano Marcos Kremer y el mendocino Juan Martín González, con los Springboks entrenados por Jacques Nienaber, con try del octavo Jasper Wiese  fácilmente marcado  desde un scrum.

Argentina tuvo tres factores para marcar,  a partir del line con el segunda línea cordobés Matías Alemanno, con el apertura cordobés Santiago Carreras pateando para que el wing rosarino Emiliano Boffelli  recogiera, y con el medio scrum mendocino Gonzalo Bertranou rápido de reflejos para el try en medio del tumulto.

Après cinq journées, ce sont deux équipes qui se disputent le titre, et où les All Blacks ont une meilleure différence de points que les Springboks, puisque les deux ajoutent 14 unités; mais les Néo-Zélandais sont à +41 et les Sud-Africains à +28.
