El segunda línea Matías Alemanno a sus 22 años, su 1.98 y sus 112 kilos, se convirtió en el Jugador con mayor futuro en el rugby argentino luego de concretar una performance de alto contenido técnico-táctico-estratégico en todas los tests internacionales en que compitió durante 2013.

La “torre” de La Tablada, de los Dogos, los Pampas, y los Jaguares, disputó desde marzo a diciembre una espectacular temporada coronada con títulos como el doblete en el Americas Rugby Championship de Victoria, Canadá en 2012 y repetida en 2013.

Los Jaguares ya proclamados campeones con anticipación tras ganar en debut a las Águilas de Estados Unidos, a los Teros de Uruguay en segunda fecha, batieron a los Canuks de Canadá  en última jornada del Americas Rugby Championship disputado en el Westhills Stadium de Langford, suburbio de Victoria, en Canadá.

Ese 19 de octubre, fue figura el wing Dogo Facundo Barrea con sus quiebres irresistibles para provocar las infracciones del quince canadiense. Y el segunda línea Dogo Matías Alemanno fue líder de los forwards.  Marcaron dobletes Javier Rojas e Ignacio Sánchez Lancuba, ambos convertidos por Sebastián Poet.

Alemanno  jugó por segunda vez el certamen panamericano, por lo que resaltó: “en Canadá hubo un equipo mucho más joven que el del año pasado que se asoció bien y así ganamos  el torneo. Siempre quedan cosas por corregir pero estamos contentos porque el balance fue  muy bueno”.

También “Mati” Alemanno con habitual humildad puso de relieve: “tuve la suerte de jugar todos los partidos como titular y estoy feliz por ello;  y como siempre, jugué al máximo dejando todo porque no se sabe  cuando volverás a vestir la camiseta de un seleccionado nacional”.

En junio fue el turno de la Nations Cup jugada en Bucarest, y donde Matías Alemanno junto a un plantel joven entrenado por Daniel Hourcade, enfrentó a equipos seniores ya consolidados como Italia A y Rumania A que se impusieron, ganando a Rusia en último encuentro en el “Arcul  de Triumf”.

En mayo los Pampas disputaron la Vodacom Cup sudafricana, donde Matías Alemanno intervino en otro plantel renovado y entrenado por Daniel Hourcade, que llegó hasta los cuartos de final.

En el ámbito nacional Alemanno  desplegó  intensa actividad, se consagró  tricampeón con su club La Tablada en agosto, en el Súper 12 de la Unión Cordobesa de Rugby, destacando en la final ante Tala y en la semifinal del Torneo del Interior del 5 de octubre ante Duendes de Rosario, que luego fue el campeón.

Otro tanto ocurrió con Cruden que comenzó y terminó gran remontada ante Irlanda 19-0 arriba, a partir de 3 conversiones y 1 penal para redondear la performance con el gol al try salvador del centro Ryan Crotty, que repitió con consentimiento del árbitro galés Nigel Owen.

El entrenador tucumano Daniel Hourcade hace cinco cambios respecto al quince titular que cayó ante Gales por 40-6. En los forwards, Mariano Galarza ingresará por Patricio Albacete y Benjamín Macome lo hará por Pablo Matera.
