El veredicto del sorteo del mundial Inglaterra 2015, propuso a los Pumas el grupo C junto a actual campeón mundial, los All Blacks y ellos se agrega Tonga, junto a Europa 1 (que puede ser Georgia) y a África 1 (que puede ser Senegal). Como decir que el sorteo dejó "satisfechos" a los implicados.

Argentina es en definitiva el desafiante más difícil para Nueva Zelanda, después de haber demostrado ser una fuerza en progreso durante  el Cuatro Naciones donde Los Pumas no ganaron un partido, solo empataron uno, pero dieron muestras de ser competitivos contra Nueva Zelanda, Australia y Sudáfrica.

También los Pumas demostraron en los cuartos de final de la Copa Mundial de Nueva Zelanda, que estuvieron a la altura de las circunstancias cayendo ante los dueños de casa, los All Blacks, por 33-10, dejando una imagen muy seria.

All Blacks y Pumas se han enfrentado ya en la primera Copa Mundial, la de 1987 en el mítico “Athletic Park” de Wellington. Y Nueva Zelanda se enfrentó tres veces con Tonga en fase de grupos, en los mundiales de 1999, 2003 y 2011 cuando jugaron el partido de apertura del torneo, ganando 41-10 los All Blacks.

Con éste sorteo mundial en Londres, concluye para los Pumas una temporada 2012 de gran intensidad, tanto física como mental. Una performance que fue creciendo desde el 9 de junio ante Italia en el estadio “Bicentenario” de San Juan, el Cuatro Naciones y la final de la serie del otoño europeo frente a Irlanda en el “Aviva” de Dublín. Fueron 12 partidos inolvidables.

Para Steve Hansen, el entrenador de los All Blacks, "Desde nuestro punto de vista, el empate (con los Pumas) es bastante satisfactorio en esta etapa. Argentina va a ser difícil, y tenemos un componente físico con Tonga; pero no sabemos nada de los otros dos que completan la zona. Pero se trata de se primero o segundo para entrar a octavos de final”.

"Ahora bien, muchas cosas van a cambiar de ahora a tres años, por lo que parece un grupo  muy fuerte puede convertirse en una zona débil", sentención Hansen pensando en el futuro mundialista. Si los All Blacks y Pumas lideran el grupo C, en los cuartos de final encontrarán la probable confrontación de Francia, e Irlanda.

Mientras tanto, un punto destacado del sorteo fue el “grupo de la muerte”  de la zona A con el anfitrión Inglaterra dos veces campeón mundial, enfrentando a Australia otro bicampeón  y a Gales hundido a la tercera franja tras la derrota ante los Wallabies que reflotaron a los Pumas al cuarteto de la segunda banda.

El grupo B tiene a Sudáfrica como dominador de la escena, dejando que  Samoa y Escocia se eliminen entre sí para acceder a ser el segundo en los cuartos de final. Mientras que el subcampeón mundial en 2011, Francia, se las debe ver con Irlanda e Italia en el grupo D, junto probablemente, a Canadá y Rumania.

Como se puede intuir en un pronóstico futurista, las semifinales verían por arriba a Sudáfrica con Australia o Inglaterra; y por abajo a Nueva Zelanda repitiendo posiblemente con Francia, una final anticipada.

Grupo A - Australia, Inglaterra, Gales, Oceanía 1 (probable Fidji), y ganador Repechaje

Grupo B - Sudáfrica, Samoa, Escocia, Asia 1 (Japón), Américas 2 (Estados Unidos o Uruguay).

Grupo C - Nueva Zelanda, Argentina, Tonga, Europa 1 (posible Georgia), y África 1(probable Senegal).

Grupo D - Francia, Irlanda, Italia, Américas 1 (probable Canadá), y Europa (posible Rumania)

The verdict  in their 2015 Rugby World Cup pool  for  Pumas  was the Group C  with  alongside reigning world champion, the All Blacks and Tonga adds them together to Europe 1 (which may be Georgia) and Africa 1 (which can be Senegal). As the draw let say "pleased" to those involved.

Argentina is definitely the most difficult challenging for New Zealand, having proven to be a force for progress during the Four Nations where the Pumas did not win a match, only drew one, but were shown to be competitive against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa .

Pumas also demonstrated in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in New Zealand, which fell short of the circumstances falling to the hosts, the All Blacks by 33-10, leaving a quite serious.
